Returning to The CENTER with an all new multi-media Irish dance extravaganza, the cool and hip Incandescence is a must-see for dance-lovers of all ages. Incandescence is produced and directed by Deirdre Lowry and Patrick Brown and features the sensational Solas An Lae Dance Company and SAL’s CompanyB. The show also features the innovative light designs of Jeremy Lechterman.

Meet Farm Sanctuary President & Co-founder Gene Baur and hear him speak about his national best-seller Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food at the Mid-Hudson Vegetarian Society’s (MHVS) 25th Anniversary Great American Meatout Celebration. Gene’s book will also be available for sale and he will be on hand to sign copies!

This event, which includes a potluck dinner, will be held on Saturday, This event is open to the public and entrance costs $10 per person. All guests are also asked to bring a vegan dish to share. Saint-Säens    Carnival of the Animals Performed by the faculty of the Conservatory’s Preparatory Division Schubert    Piano Quintet in A Major (“Trout”) Beethoven   String Trio, Op. 9, No. 1 (Works for woodwind and bass) Performers include Melvin Chen, Ida Kavafian, John Rojak, Arnold Steinhardt, Steven Tenenbom, and Peter Wiley All Conservatory Sundays proceeds benefit the Scholarship Fund of The Bard College Conservatory of Music.

Village of Rhinebeck Election

The next general Village election for officers will be held on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 from noon to 9:00 pm at the Rhinebeck Town Hall, 80 East Market St. Rhinebeck, NY.  Voters must be registered with the County Board of Elections by March 5th, 2010 to be able to vote in the election. http://rhinebeck-ny.gov/
