Utility: It could be days before power is restored
More than 80,000 Dutchess and Ulster County homes and businesses are without
electricity, and it could be several days before many customers see their
power restored, a Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp. spokeswoman said
this afternoon. Throughout the utility’s coverage area, more than 145,000 are without power. It’s a record-setting storm, tallying the most outages in local history, officials said.
