Rhinebeck given HEART safe community designation
Representatives from the town and village of Rhinebeck were presented with Dutchess County’s HEART Safe Community designation today
Municipality’s designated as a HEART Safe Community must have at least 25 percent of its buildings equipped with automatic external defibrillators and at least 25 percent of its employees trained in using CPR. At least 25 percent of the restaurants within the municipality’s borders must also have CPR kits.
The Rhinebeck Heart Safe Club, a group aimed at promoting training and awareness on CPR and automatic external defibrillators, and the Rhinebeck police department were also honored during the event.
