Hudson Valley goes to Sundance

The Mid-Hudson Valley has always had a streak of film independence, but it’s even more manifest today, as four films with local ties make their Sundance Film Festival debuts this weekend.

The films are “The Dry Land” and “Welcome to the Rileys,” both featuring Oscar nominated actress Melissa Leo of Stone Ridge in leading roles. And “HappyThankYouMorePlease” and “The Imperialists are Still Alive,” both featuring Jade Healy of Woodstock as production designer.
