RHINEBECK — The Rhinebeck Chamber Music Society presents The Tessera Quartet at 4 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Church of the Messiah, Route 9, Rhinebeck.
The quartet will play music of Mendelsohn, Liebermann and Sibelius.
A pre-concert talk begins at 3:30 p.m. There is a post-concert reception with the artists.
Tickets are $25, $5 for students; children under 13 are free.

The Tessera Quartet was formed under the guidance of the renowned Juilliard String Quartet in 2007. The quartet has collaborated with pianist Claude Frank and composer/pianist Lowell Liebermann, whose complete quartets it is recording.
Highlights of the 2009-10 season include a New York debut on the New School (Schneider) Concerts series, a special project with British pianist Hamish Milne at the Brooklyn Friends of Chamber Music, a centennial concert honoring composer and Renaissance scholar Harold Brown, and residencies at Georgetown University and the Peabody Conservatory Preparatory.
