Rhinebeck school lunch program $70,000 in the red, auditor says

RHINEBECK — A $70,000 deficit in the Rhinebeck school district’s food service program was the only shortcoming found in an internal audit of district finances, school trustees have been told.

The report on spending under the 2008-09 budget was provided to Board of Education meeting last week.

“The only real negative on your balance sheet was your deficit for school lunch,” district auditor Scott Preusser said.
