RHINEBECK ROTARY PRESENTS PETER GRIM WITH PRESTIGIOUS “CITIZENS RECOGNITION AWARD”

As part of its work to develop and implement service projects both locally and throughout the world, the Rhinebeck Rotary also recognizes an extraordinary local resident every year with the Citizens Recognition Award.

This honor is bestowed upon someone who exemplifies the motto of Rotary International, “Service above Self”. This year, Rhinebeck Rotarians presented the Citizens Recognition Award to longtime Rhinebeck resident Peter Grim at a special luncheon on Monday, October 19th, 2009.

In addition to the incredible volunteerism Peter has exhibited through the years on Burger Hill Park, he also served as Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts (for over 15 years) and volunteers at his church. He epitomizes “service above self” and is a wonderful example for our entire community.
