Zoning is key to future of Holy Cross site in Rhinecliff

RHINEBECK — A plan to build senior housing on the former Holy Cross Campus of Pius XII Youth and Family Services on Morton Road in the hamlet of Rhinecliff could be allowed up to 120 or 200 units, depending on the zoning designation the Town Board approves for the site.

After a meeting Monday on a draft document outlining the scope of an environmental review, town Supervisor Tom Traudt said a proposed change in density limits allowing 200 units was recommended by consultants hired to find ways to make senior housing in the town affordable.
