Staley gets Rhinebeck seat as accord is reached

RHINEBECK – Daniel Staley Jr. will have a seat on the town board at the start of the year.

Attorneys for Monique Segarra, who teaches at Bard College’s Center for Environmental Policy, and Staley, a local real estate agent, agreed Thursday to drop all appeals of the results of November’s general election. The agreement happened while officials were counting ballots in Dutchess County Supreme Court Judge James Brands’ chambers.
