The PANDA Board of Directors will join Rhinebeck Town Supervisor Steve Block in hosting an informational, visioning session moderated by Assemblyman Marc Molinaro (Tivoli). Participating in this program will be representatives of the municipalities served by PANDA, members of the Rhinebeck Arts & Culture Subcommittee on PANDA and the general public.
PANDA (Public Access Northern Dutchess Area) is a not-for-profit organization established cooperatively by the Villages of Rhinebeck, Red Hook and Tivoli, and the Towns of Red Hook and Rhinebeck to administer public access, cable television, Channel 23. Its mission is to ensure the ability of PANDA residents to have equal opportunity for public access, educational and government programs and to create opportunities for students and adults to learn all aspects of program design, development, production and on-air broadcasting.
Municipal leaders, residents and local film and television professionals are taking an active role to improve the quality of PANDA programming, promotion, training, equipment, studio space, management, new media and community involvement.
PANDA is eager to hear from the public. Pitch a show idea. Become a TV producer. Tell us what kinds of shows you might like to participate in. Make your own TV. Your input will go a long way in helping put together a viable strategic plan for PANDA’s future. Share your vision.
