Community Budget Advisory Committee
The Board of Education of the Rhinebeck Central School District has established a Community Budget Advisory Committee with the following
* to provide community participants with information on how the annual school district budget is developed and supports the instructional program;
* to develop a well-informed citizenry regarding the Rhinebeck School District’s budget and budget process;
* to generate advisory input from the community at an early stage in the process before proposed budget development decisions are finalized.
The Community Budget Advisory Committee’s meeting schedule and agenda will
be structured as follows:
Expenditures Wed, Jan 31, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Revenues and fund balance Wed, Feb 14, 7:oo-8:30 pm
Other budget considerations Wed, Feb 28, 7:00- 8:30 pm
Proposed general support budget Wed, Mar 7, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Proposed instructional budget Wed, Mar 21, 7:00- 8:30 pm
Board budget workshop Sat, Mar 24, 9:00am -12 noon
Membership will be comprised of members of the community and the school staff, in addition to the Superintendent of Schools, the Assistant Superintendent for Support Services, and one member of the Board of Education. All meetings of the Community Budget Advisory Committee will be held in the MS/HS Library and are open to the public.
