Rhinebeck Choral Club Concert

on December 16th

Rhinebeck Baptist Church

The Rhinebeck Choral Club, under the direction of Charles E. Kelley, will celebrate its 62nd concert season with two Holiday Concerts.  On Saturday, December 16, the concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the Rhinebeck Baptist Church on Astor Drive in the village of Rhinebeck.  The same concert will be presented on Sunday, December 17 at 3:00 p.m. in Poughkeepsie at the Arlington Reformed Church on Raymond Avenue.  General admission tickets ($10.00), and student tickets ($8.00) are available at the door.  In the even that the Saturday Concert is cancelled due to inclement weather, the Sunday concert location will be the Rhinebeck Baptist Church.

The Choral Club will sing a variety of seasonal music acknowledging both the various religious and secular celebrations.  Of special note is the 2nd Annual Audience Participation version of The Twelve Days of Christmas, as well as unique arrangements of familiar songs including Silent Night (with oboe), Green Sleeves, a spirited Joy to the World and African Alleluia with percussion ensemble.

Guest artist for the Choral Club concerts is the Arlington District Select Chor-Us, directed by Kathy Healy.  The ADSC is the public relations ensemble for the Arlington School District, and the groups motto is The joy of singing through community service.
