Independence Day at Fairgrounds

Friday night: Demolition Derby & Fireworks Show; Saturday: Demolition Derby & Hudson Valley Philharmonic & Fireworks at dusk. Bring your blankets & lawn chairs. Other activities include children’s games, Children’s Carnival Rides, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Frog Jumping, Homemade Apple Pie, and other great food. (Sorry no outside food or coolers or pets).

Parade starts at 11 a.m., winds through the Village, and finishes at Cantine Field. At 6:00 p.m., a Jazz concert begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by the fireworks.

Fireworks at Cantine Field, at dusk  – There will be carnival rides at Cantine Field as well.

Art At Grasmere

June 6th to July 6th
Location: 29 Mill Road
Join us for the Opening Reception of the next Art At Grasmere on Saturday June 6th from 1:00 – 5:00 PM. Art At Grasmere is an Annual Collective Art Show featuring New York and Hudson Valley based artists held at the historic Grasmere estate in Rhinebeck, New York. This year 31 artists will be showing collections of their work ranging from paintings, photography, collage, sculpture, jewelry and installation pieces. Pure art will be the focus of the opening weekend but subsequent weekends will spotlight performances by political satirist Barry Crimmins, poetry slams, short videos and musical guests. The exhibition will be open until July 6th 2009. Touch A Truck

The Young Leaders United of United Way of Dutchess County are hosting an inaugural Touch a Truck event to be held on July 12, 2009. It will be take place at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY from 12PM-5PM. This event is a great chance for all members of the community to come together and have some great fun while supporting United Way. Families from throughout the county will be able to see, touch and photograph over 50 vehicles on display. We are hoping to draw over 5,000 children and adults to this fundraising event that will bring dollars into the community making a difference in people’s lives in Dutchess County.  845-471-1900
